The inevitable came down shortly after we started our brief(1.5hr) Trace Ridge-Spencer Branch loop in the morning. Soaked, we weren't up for attempting Laurel Mt. So we packed it in and headed home early. Didn't get to hit everything we wanted but that's just the more reason to come back. *Iguana's pics*.

Is it April already? Woke up to beautiful spring like weather and dry trails! Got lost on the sketchy Big Creek loop in the morning. After some locals told us our directions didn't jive with reality we moved up the road to Pilot Cove/Slate Rock loop. This trail kicked ass! Long climbs, awesome views and just as long descents. The big wheels were rollin' smooth and I think it was the first time I really put some heat into the Strokers. They didn't seem to mind. Betting against rain for one more day. I'll take that over snow.

In a covert Christmas night dash for sweet southern single track, Iguana and I were foiled when we met up with 2 inches of slush dumped on Asheville and Brevard in the early morning. Mills River was out and Dupont only dampened our wired from the drive AM ambitions. Thanks to cool guys John and Beach for showing us around Bent Creek in the afternoon, thus making some lemonade of the day. Tomorrow, we shoot for revenge.
