LAST ONE..

This is the last hurrah before ski season! Meet at Lapham at Wednesday, 6pm for 2-3 night laps and one last cook out. It's been a fun season, but its time to free up some Wednesdays for awhile. Bring something to eat & drink while we burn some wood after. See ya then!

LP TONITE..

It's on again tonight! Meet at 6pm. I can't make it but Jack's bringing the grill and a few others will be there too, so dress warm and bring the lights. Should be a good time!

BLASTR

I found out early, the beer hand ups were not worth passing up. JoeJoe put up an amazing challenge. We toasted going into the 4th lap. Once we got to the hills, the PBR was working better for me then it was for him. I cruised home to pick up my 3rd woolie in a race that only exists if you were there. Thanks again Curtes bros for the awesome time!

If you're gonna put good legs together late in the season, SheVegas is the place to do it. Its been awhile since I've been on the box and at a place I'd least expect it. Must've been all the Riverwest with Ben/Jen & crew after Zac's wedding. By the way Chudy, I took your plate for '11!

REMEMBERING JEFF

Services for Jeff Littmann are being held today. I didn't make it down to Cudahy, but still wanted to take a moment to reflect. Before coming to Waukesha I lived in Hartland and it was rare to do a ride in Lake Country Jeff wasn't on. I learned a lot from him in those days, not just about becoming faster but also about being responsible and respectful on the roads. It takes a lot of trust riding or racing in a pack and Jeff was always a wheel you could trust. The cycling community lost a great friend, advocate and mentor this past week and he will be missed. Ride on above us, Jeff.

HOT LAPS AT 6:00!

Tomorrow will be the last night of Hot Laps at Lapham Peak. We'll do them right at 6 to get them done before dark, then do a social lap or two into the twilight after. Next week on will be just social rides into the night, so start charging the lights up! Cookout after as always.

It's been a tough week since our friend Jeff was hit by a car last Friday. His condition is not good so please keep him in your thoughts prayers.

UPDATE: Sadly, Jeff passed away this morning. We will be accepting donations for anyone who wants to give at the ride tomorrow and I will get them to his shop/family this week.
